Pittsburgh Pirates Draft History: 2001


BOLD = Pirates didn’t sign player.

John Van Benschoten received a $2,300,000 signing bonus.

Jeremy Guthrie was drafted in the first round by the Indians in 2002, and signed for $3,000,000.

Stephen Drew was drafted in the first round by the Diamondbacks in 2005, and signed a five year major league deal for $5,500,000 with a $4,000,000 signing bonus.
