I'm hoping he makes an appearance in Lynchburg this year.

Lynchburg has a good hitting catcher in Kris Watts, although he's 25, so not really much of a prospect at this point. I wouldn't say that Sanchez is blocked, and considering he's a first round pick, I wouldn't think he'd be blocked by anyone on his path through the minors, including Diaz and Lerud.

Lynchburg will be in the playoffs. Maybe Sanchez will join them for that, just to get some extra playing time. He certainly has shown that he can hit in the SAL, although it's only 66 plate appearances, so I'm fine giving him some more time.

How long do you think it will be until Sanchez is pushed up to high A? He is obviously raking down in low A, and I would think that a guy like him should be on the fast track. If the Pirates have any plans of having him up here by sometime next year, I would almost think he has to start in AA next year, and would need to go to Lynchburg before that.
