Chase d'Arnaud Video Recap

The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted Chase d’Arnaud in the fourth round of the 2008 draft, out of Pepperdine University. d’Arnaud signed immediately with the Pirates and started his career in State College, where he hit for a .286/.333/.423 line in 168 at-bats.
In 2009, d’Arnaud played his first full season as a pro, hitting for a .291/.394/.427 line in West Virginia to start the season. d’Arnaud was moved up to Lynchburg mid-season, and hit for a .295/.402/.481 line in 210 at-bats.
It’s hard to find a thing that d’Arnaud does wrong. He hits for average, he’s smart on the base paths, he has good plate patience, he’s a good fielder at second and shortstop, and he’s got some pop in his bat for a middle infielder. d’Arnaud may not be elite at any one area, but combining all of his skills makes him a great prospect for the Pirates to have.
Below I have several videos of d’Arnaud in action. There are 35 at-bats, 4 stolen base videos, plus 32 fielding plays. I have a list of what is on this video recap below the video box, as well as some suggestions of plays that display some of d’Arnaud’s skills.
