UPDATE 3:45 PM: DK says to watch for Jeremy Accardo, who could be involved in a deal. Accardo is a risk to be non-tendered by Toronto on Friday. Accardo is coming off a year in which he posted a 2.55 ERA in 24.2 innings pitched. However, Accardo had a 6.2 BB/9 ratio, and was optioned to AAA several times throughout the season. Accardo had a 2.14 ERA in 67.1 innings in 2007 as Toronto’s closer, with a 7.6 K/9 and a 3.2 BB/9.

According to Dejan Kovacevic, the Pirates and Blue Jays are discussing a trade involving Ryan Doumit. We heard last week that Toronto had “mild” interest in the Pirates’ catcher. DK says that Toronto isn’t the only team in the mix for Doumit, and that Seattle and San Francisco are two other possible teams in on Doumit.
We heard today from Jennifer Langosch that Texas wasn’t in on the Doumit pursuit. DK confirms this, and also adds that the Mets and Marlins are also not interested in Doumit.
