Lynchburg Hillcats Ring Ceremony

Before Wednesday’s Spring Training game, the 2009 Lynchburg Hillcats, winners of the Carolina League Title, received their championship rings.  It was rather fitting that they received the rings prior to a game against the Boston Red Sox, since the Hillcats defeated the Salem Red Sox to win the title.

I’ve uploaded pictures of the ring presentations, with every player getting their ring (at least the players who are in the Pirates organization right now), as well as a few team shots.  Thanks to the staff at McKechnie Field for giving me access to take these pictures, which kind of completes my coverage of the 2009 season.  It’s still a bummer that there will be no Hillcats in 2010, at least none associated with the Pirates (the Reds are there now), although I’ll be going to Richmond for some Altoona games, which means I’ll be covering pretty much the same team at the next level.

You can find all of the pictures on the BUCCO Fans Facebook page (be sure to become a fan).  I’ll have my third set of pictures up tomorrow, from the game at McKechnie.  I’ve also been uploading some videos to YouTube, and will probably have some of those on the site tomorrow as well.
