Pirates release minor leaguers

Dejan Kovacevic is reporting that the Pirates have released the following minor leaguers (broken up in to groups, as we already knew about some):

Players that we heard about from Baseball America earlier this Spring: Chris Aure, Gerardo Esparza, Jesus Aguilera, Brad Clapp, Jeff Corsaletti, Diomedes Garcia, Gemmy Gonzalez, Edgar Gutierrez, Papiro Juan, Ricardo Paulino, Rafael Quintero, Ciro Rosero, Andres Santos, Carlos Silva.

Players that were just announced today: Kyle Bloom, Corey Hamman, Edison Barrios, Harrison Bishop, Daniel Bomback, Chris Cullen, Jose R. De Los Santos, Chris Garcia, Edward Garcia, Henry Henry, Billy Killian, Wilson Ortiz, Craig Parry, Nelson Pereira, Moises Robles, R.J. Rodriguez.

I first reported about Pereira yesterday, but was unable to get additional information on the rest of the releases.  A few surprises here, but no big losses.  The highlights for me are Bloom, Bishop, Hamman, Chris Garcia, and Pereira.  And, of course, Henry Henry.  Best of luck to all of these players with their future teams.
