Pirates activate Donnelly, place Taschner on DL

The Pittsburgh Pirates have activated relief pitcher Brendan Donnelly from the 15-day disabled list, and have placed relief pitcher Jack Taschner on the 15-day disabled list with a tight left hamstring.  The set of moves made it so that the Pirates didn’t have to send anyone down to AAA to make room for Donnelly.

This likely buys Jeff Karstens some more time in the bullpen.  Karstens has one option remaining, and seems to be the easy pick to go when Taschner returns.

The 25-man roster page is updated with the move.
