Brian Burres sent to Indy, Dana Eveland added to roster

The Pittsburgh Pirates have optioned Brian Burres to Indianapolis, and have added Dana Eveland to the major league roster.  The Pirates have no listed starters for Monday and Tuesday, although it seems like Eveland and Jeff Karstens will fill those spots.

A point of interest: Brad Lincoln is currently scheduled to make his next start on Tuesday in Indianapolis.  I kind of expected Karstens to get demoted rather than Burres, but it wouldn’t matter if Lincoln comes up to make the Tuesday start instead of Karstens.  The Pirates are still saying Lincoln isn’t coming up anytime soon, although if last night’s outing was any indication, there’s not much more for him to learn at the AAA level.
