Pirates sign Kevin Decker

According to the Washington Times-Herald, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed their first draft pick from the 2010 draft group, 39th round draft pick Kevin Decker (link via Bucs Dugout).  Decker will report to Bradenton for Extended Spring Training, then will go to State College for the start of the New York-Penn League on June 18th.

Decker pitched for the College of Charleston.  Decker had a 3.78 ERA in 81 innings in 2010, with a 67:36 K/BB ratio.  Decker’s fastball reportedly reaches 93 MPH.
