Dana Eveland Clears Waivers

The Pittsburgh Pirates have outrighted left handed pitcher Dana Eveland to AAA after he cleared waivers today.  Eveland was designated for assignment on June 24th, just 23 days after being acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays for Ronald Uviedo.

In his time with the Pirates, Eveland made three appearances, allowing nine runs in 9.2 innings of work, with a 3:5 K/BB ratio.  Eveland will most likely join the Indianapolis rotation, where he can hopefully turn things around similar to what Hayden Penn has done since being outrighted to AAA earlier in the season.

Eveland will be eligible for minor league free agency at the end of the season if he’s not added back to the 40-man roster.
