INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (AAA)

GAME STORY

Indianapolis beat Toledo 1-0.  Jeremy Powell (W, 9-8, 4.77) pitched 7.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits, five walks, and striking out six.  Justin Thomas (2.64) pitched a shutout inning, walking one and striking out two.  Jean Machi (SV, 18, 3.98) pitched 0.2 shutout innings, allowing one walk.

Alex Presley (.297) went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.  Kevin Melillo (.270) went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and a run.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Harrison

Altoona beat Binghamton 6-5 in 12 innings.  Justin Wilson (3.08) pitched five innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on one hit, with four walks and seven strikeouts.  Jared Hughes (4.34) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits, with two walks and three strikeouts.  Anthony Claggett (3.00) pitched 0.2 shutout innings, allowing a hit and striking out one.  Daniel Moskos (1.25) pitched two shutout innings, allowing no hits, one walk, and striking out three.  Michael Dubee (W, 5-2, 2.00) pitched two shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out one.

Josh Harrison (.298) went 3-for-6 with a double, two runs, and an RBI.  Hector Gimenez (.303) went 2-for-4 with a double, two walks, and two RBIs.  Jordy Mercer (.260) went 1-for-3 with a triple, two walks, a stolen base, and a run.  Jose de los Santos (.207) went 2-for-5 with three steals and a run.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

Baker

Bradenton beat Jupiter 5-3.  Nathan Baker (W, 2-2, 2.70) pitched six shutout innings, allowing two hits, four walks, and striking out five.  Craig Hansen (4.35) pitched 1.2 innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on two hits, with two walks and two strikeouts.  Noah Krol (SV, 30, 3.39) pitched a perfect inning.

Quincy Latimore (.262) went 2-for-5 with a double, and a solo homer (16).  Eric Fryer (.311) went 4-for-4 with a stolen base and a run.  Greg Picart (.258) went 2-for-5 with a run.

WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

GAME STORY

West Virginia beat Asheville 6-4.  Eliecer Navarro (3.90) pitched 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, with two walks and three strikeouts.  Maurice Bankston (5.23) pitched 2.1 shutout innings, allowing a walk and four strikeouts.  Kyle McPherson (W, 8-9, 3.67) pitched two shutout innings, allowing a hit and striking out three.

Elevys Gonzalez (.284) went 3-for-4 with a homer (3) and three RBIs.  Jarek Cunningham (.268) went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer (11) and two RBIs.  Jose Hernandez (.277) went 1-for-4 with a solo homer (12).  Kyle Morgan (.202) went 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base.

STATE COLLEGE SPIKES (A, Short Season)

Cain

GAME STORY

State College beat Jamestown 3-1.  Colton Cain (4.09) pitched four shutout innings, allowing no hits, one walk, and striking out three.  Kevin Decker (W, 6-1, 4.02) pitched four innings, allowing a run on three hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.  Jhonatan Ramos (1.84) pitched a shutout inning, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Adalberto Santos (.313) went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.  Cole White (.289) went 1-for-3 with a solo homer (2).  Drew Maggi (.250) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run.  Mel Rojas, Jr. (.241) wet 1-for-3 with a walk, a run, and an RBI.

GCL Pirates (RK, Short Season)

The GCL Pirates beat the GCL Phillies 7-5.  Cliff Archibald (4.50) pitched two innings, allowing three runs on six hits, with a walk and a strikeout.  Emmanuel De Leon (W, 1-0, 9.00) pitched 1.2 shutout innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out three.  Rinku Singh (2.89) pitched 3.1 innings, allowing a run on three hits, with two walks and two strikeouts.  Joan Montero (SV, 3, 3.41) pitched two innings, allowing an unearned run on two walks, with two strikeouts.

Eric Avila (.283) went 2-for-4 with a homer (7) and four RBIs.  Gregory Polanco (.206) went 2-for-4 with a homer (3), a stolen base, and two RBIs.  Junior Sosa (.297) went 1-for-5 with two runs and two steals.

DSL PIRATES (RK)

The DSL Pirates wrapped up their season with an 8-3 loss to the DSL Rays.  Jonathan Herrand (L, 2-3, 5.40) pitched three innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on two hits, with four walks and one strikeout.  Yoan Gonzalez (3.29) pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.  Miguel Ferreras (15.07) pitched 1.2 innings, allowing five runs on four hits, with two walks and one strikeout.  Brayan Almonte (5.18) pitched 1.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out one.  Angel Sanchez (4.02) pitched a shutout inning, allowing a walk and a hit.

Jesus Vasquez (.265) went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  Alen Hanson (.324) went 1-for-3 with a double.  Samuel Gonzalez (.349) went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
