INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (AAA)

GAME STORY

Indianapolis beat Louisville 6-2.  Jeremy Powell (W, 10-8, 4.61) pitched six innings, allowing a run on five hits, with one walk and seven strikeouts.  Anthony Claggett (4.88) pitched two shutout innings, allowing a hit, no walks and striking out two.  Corey Hamman (3.69) pitched an inning, allowing a run on one hit, with no walks and one strikeout.

Alex Presley (.296) went 1-for-4 with a homer (6) and two RBIs.  Brian Myrow (.232) went 1-for-4 with a homer (7) and three RBIs.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Lambo

Altoona lost to Erie 3-1.  Justin Wilson (L, 10-7, 3.12) pitched four innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits, with three walks and six strikeouts.  Mike Colla (3.86) pitched four shutout innings, allowing a hit, a walk, and striking out two.  Ramon Aguero (9.18) pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.

Andrew Lambo (.323) went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Matt Hague (.294) went 1-for-4.  Chase d’Arnaud (.243) went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base (32) and a run.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

Bradenton had a double header rained out.

WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

Navarro

West Virginia lost to Augusta 4-3.  Eliecer Navarro (3.38) pitched five shutout innings, allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out four.  Zach Foster (L, 5-4, 4.37) pitched two innings, allowing four unearned runs on three hits, with no walks and three strikeouts.  Ryan Kelly (4.50) pitched a shutout inning, allowing one hit, no walks, and striking out two.

Jose Hernandez (.277) went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  David Rubinstein (.285) went 1-for-4 with a solo homer (3).  Jarek Cunningham (.267) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run.

STATE COLLEGE SPIKES (A, Short Season)

Cumpton

GAME STORY

State College beat Mahoning Valley 3-1.  Brandon Cumpton (0.00) made his first start in his second professional game, pitching three shutout innings, allowing a walk and a hit, and striking out five.  Kevin Decker (W, 7-1, 3.88) pitched four innings, allowing a run on three hits, with a walk and two strikeouts.  Justin Ennis (5.76) pitched a shutout inning, allowing a walk and striking out two.  Jason Townsend (2.08) pitched a shutout inning, allowing a walk and a hit and striking out one.

Adalberto Santos (.314) went 3-for-3 with a triple, a walk, and two runs.  Matt Curry (.301) went 1-for-3 with an RBI.  Kelson Brown (.280) went 1-for-4 with a run.

GCL Pirates (RK, Short Season)

Kingham

The GCL Pirates lost to the GCL Tigers 2-1 in 10 innings.  Vincent Payne (2.43) pitched three shutout innings, allowing two hits, no walks, and striking out two.  2010 4th round pick Nick Kingham (0.00) made his debut, pitching two shutout innings, allowing three hits, no walks and striking out two.  Barrett Phillips (2.70) pitched two innings, allowing a run on three hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.  Emmanuel De Leon (5.40) pitched two shutout innings, allowing four hits, one walk, and striking out two.  Jarryd Sullivan (L, 3-4, 4.36) pitched an inning, allowing a run on two hits.

Joey Schoenfeld (.286) went 2-for-5.  Kevin Mort (.280) went 3-for-4.  Dan Grovatt (.000) made his debut, going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
