Arizona Fall League Recap: 10/18

Andrew Lambo got his first day off, but the other three Pirates prospects started, with Aaron Pribanic making a relief appearance, as the Mesa Solar Sox lost 4-2 in extra innings:

-Josh Harrison (.111) started in left field, batting leadoff.  Harrison went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice RBI in the sixth inning.

-Tony Sanchez (.313) started at catcher, batting eighth.  Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a run scored, scoring on Harrison’s sacrifice fly.  Sanchez allowed two stolen bases, and caught one runner stealing.

-Jordy Mercer (.333) started at shortstop, batting seventh.  Mercer went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, and committed his third error of the AFL season on a fielding error.  Mercer also was part of a 6-3 double play.

-Aaron Pribanic (0.00) pitched two shutout innings, allowing no hits and one walk.  Pribanic threw 23 pitches, with 14 going for strikes.  Pribanic has now pitched four innings in two appearances, allowing just one unearned run in that span.

Mesa plays Peo Javelinas tomorrow at 12:35 PM MST/3:35 PM EST.
