Arizona Fall League Recap: 10/21

Aaron Pribanic pitched an inning in relief, and three Pirates started in the lineup, as the Mesa Solar Sox won 4-2:

-Andrew Lambo (.265) started in right field, batting fourth for the third straight game.  Lambo went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.  He also recorded an outfield assist, throwing out a runner at home.

-Jordy Mercer (.292) started at shortstop, batting seventh.  Mercer went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

-Tony Sanchez (.316) started at catcher, batting eighth.  Sanchez went 1-for-3 with a two run home run (1), bringing in Mercer.  Sanchez was credited with a caught stealing, but actually wasn't part of the play.  The play was a pick-off that went 1-5-6-5 to catch Charlie Culberson.

-Aaron Pribanic (0.00) pitched a shutout inning, allowing no hits, one walk, and striking out two.  Pribanic threw 15 pitches, eight for strikes.

Mesa plays Peo Saguaros tomorrow at 12:35 PM MST/3:35 PM EST....
