-Jordy Mercer (.292) started at shortstop, batting seventh. Mercer went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.
-Tony Sanchez (.316) started at catcher, batting eighth. Sanchez went 1-for-3 with a two run home run (1), bringing in Mercer. Sanchez was credited with a caught stealing, but actually wasn't part of the play. The play was a pick-off that went 1-5-6-5 to catch Charlie Culberson.
