Caneros de Los Mochis� 3,� Venados de Mazatlan� 1� — Los Venados’ only run came courtesy of LF Rogelios Noris, who homered to lead off the 5th inning.� Los Caneros scored single runs in the 1st and 4th, both on a walk and two singles.� They added an insurance run in the 5th, on a single, an error, a walk, and a sacrifice fly.

Yaquis de Obregon� 3,� Tomateros de Culiacan� 1� — A 3-run homer gave Obregon their only runs in the 3rd inning, and a solo homer was Culiacan’s only run in the 7th.� After striking out in his first three trips to the plate, CF Jeff Salazar led off the 8th inning with a single for Obregon, but he got no further than second base.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE

Tigres del Licey� 7,� Toros del Este� 1� — Los Tigres scored 4 runs in the top of the 1st, then 2 more in the 6th and one in the 8th.� C Robinzon Diaz went 0-for-4, while 1B Jake Fox doubled in a run in the 1st inning.
