Pirates Interview Carlos Tosca

Tosca becomes the seventh candidate to be interviewed.

The Pittsburgh Pirates interviewed Carlos Tosca today, making him the seventh candidate that they’ve interviewed in their search for a new manager.  Some information about Tosca:

-Managed in the minor leagues for 11 seasons between 1980 and 2001, ranging from the Gulf Coast League to AAA.

-Was the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays from 2002-2004.

-Became the bench coach of the Arizona Diamondbacks for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.  Was the bench coach for the Florida Marlins from 2007-2010.

-Was recently named the new Atlanta Braves bench coach, following new Braves manager Freddi Gonzalez to Atlanta.
