Pirates Winter League Recap: 11/14-11/20

The Arizona Fall League wrapped up this week.  Here is how the Pirates prospects fared in the final week:

-Andrew Lambo played in four games this week, going 1-for-14 (.071) with a double.  Lambo finished the season with a .274/.325/.462 line on the season, with four homers in 106 at-bats.

-Tony Sanchez played in two games, going 0-for-7 (.000).  Sanchez finished with a .206/.289/.397 line with four homers in 68 at-bats.

-Josh Harrison played in three games, going 4-for-10 (.400), with a double and a stolen base.  Harrison had the best season at the plate for Pirates prospects, with a .330/.390/.516 line in 91 at-bats, with a homer and six stolen bases.

-Jordy Mercer played in two games, going 2-for-6 (.333) with a homer (1).  Mercer finished the season with a .267/.337/.360 line in 75 at-bats.

-Justin Wilson had one start this week, pitching 3.1 innings, and allowing two runs on six hits, with a walk and three strikeouts.  Wilson finished the AFL season with a 4.41 ERA in 16.1 innings, along with a 16:8 K/BB ratio.

-Brian Leach pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout to wrap up his season.  Leach finished with an 0.00 ERA in 10 innings over 10 appearances.  However, he allowed five unearned runs, due to errors, and wasn’t as effective as his ERA indicated, with a 7:7 K/BB ratio, and a 1.80 WHIP.

-Aaron Pribanic pitched twice, combining for two shutout innings, allowing one hit.  Pribanic finished the season with a 2.00 ERA in 18 innings, with a 9:6 K/BB ratio.

-Ronny Cedeno: 6-for-17, 1 HR

-Diego Moreno: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K

Dominican Winter League

-Jason Jaramillo: 3-for-10, 1 2B

-Starling Marte: 3-for-9

-Michael Dubee: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K

Misc. Pirates Winter Leagues

-Quincy Latimore: 9-for-20, 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR
