VENEZUELAN LEAGUE
Bravos de Margarita  9,  Aguilas de Zulia  3  —
1B JR House contributed a single, a double, and 2 RBI for Los Bravos as they recorded a total of 13 hits.  A lead-off single and House’s double drove in Los Bravos’ first run in the top of the 1st.  A single moved House to third, and he scored on a double play.  Two walks and a single loaded the bases for House in the 4th, and he brought in another run with a sacrifice fly.  Margarita sealed it with 4 runs in the top of the 9th.  House led off with a single, then a walk and a single loaded the bases, for LF Dennys Abreu’s grand slam.  Los Aguilas scored single runs in the 2nd, 6th, and 7th.  In the 7th, with the bases loaded after the run scored, and two outs, Jean Machi came in from the bullpen for Los Bravos.  He left all three runners on base with a strikeout and a ground out.  Then he retired the side in order in the 8th.

Tigres de Aragua  10,  Leones de Caracas  1  —  1B Hector Gimenez and LF Lastings Milledge each contributed 2 hits to Los Tigres’ 13-hit total.  A walk and a triple gave Aragua one run in the 2nd inning.  Both Gimenez and Milledge singled in the 3rd, and along with two more singles and a triple, 4 runs scored in that inning.  The bottom of the 7th began with a double, and Milledge reached base on an error, to put runners on the corners.  Two singles brought in the two runners, and a ground out made it 3 runs in the 7th.  Gimenez and Milledge both singled again in the 8th.  Gimenez scored on a throwing error on Milledge’s hit, but Milledge was thrown out at the plate when he tried to score on another throwing error.  LF Mike Ryan went 0-for-4 for Los Leones.

MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE
Algooneros de Guasave  5,  Tomateros de Culiacan  4  —
A pair of 2-run homers gave Los Tomateros all of their runs, coming in the 1st and 4th innings.  Guasave collected one run in each of the first three innings.  A triple and a ground out started things in the 1st.  Three walks and a wild pitch from Los Tomateros’ pitcher Oliver Perez gave Guasave a run in the 2nd.  A lead-off homer in the 3rd inning chased Perez from the game.  1B Yurendell de Caster gave Guasave the win with his 2-run homer in the 6th.  Guasave and Culiacan are tied at 2 games each in this 7-game series.  Los Yaquis de Obregon won their series against Los Caneros de Los Mochis with a 4-game sweep.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE
The Bite did not play, but the word is that Quincy Latimore has not yet come back to the US — he’s not been playing because he’s had strained a hamstring.  He’s expected to be back in action, maybe for the Bite’s final series, which begins on Wednesday.
