His at-bat didnt last very long at all it was either the first or second pitch and he swung at one low and away, outside the zone, and grounded out.

on a grounder between third and short in the 7th Rendon went way over to his left got the ball then threw across his body for a beautiful out at first. He’ll be batting in the bottom of this inning I’ll report what he does it should be the last at-bat of the day unless something crazy happens

continuing last post…3rd at-bat started with an unsuccessful bunt for hit attempt and ended with a swing at a nasty curve in the dirt for the k.

I didnt see one. the first at-bat the pitcher did a good job with pitch location to force him to ground out, he didnt move the players on base over get any walks or come through with runners in scoring position during the game, and i dont even remember a ground ball going his way most were right up the middle, so I cant tell you how he looked defensively, I’m watching today’s game and hopefully will be able to watch tomorrows to give you all a better report on how he looks…update first at-bat line drive right at second baseman for out hit nicely though and worked count full.

yea exactly, I’m watching the game right now, he looks a little rusty so far he had a fly out his third at-bat that was pretty deep to right, it left me wondering how much farther that ball would have gone last year…pirates prospects bonus-brock holt is in the announcer’s booth chilling giving commentary right now!

with these new bats and there less pop, if Rendon puts up good HR numbers this year, you will know hes the real deal

I’m going to be a little conservative with his homerun totals with the new “dead” bats the ncaa is making the league use this year, that said I’d be happy to see him jack one or two by monday morning…
