The Pittsburgh Pirates have optioned relief pitcher Chris Leroux to AAA, according to the team Twitter feed. That rounds out the bullpen with Michael Crotta and Garrett Olson making the team, joining Joel Hanrahan, Evan Meek, Chris Resop, Jose Veras, and Jeff Karstens.
The Spring Training tracker has been updated. All 25 spots have been decided on, for the most part, although Jason Jaramillo is in camp, and could make the roster if Chris Snyder has to start on the season on the disabled list.
Scott Olsen, Jose Ascanio, and Brad Lincoln are also still in camp, and all three could be candidates to start on the disabled list. Olsen definitely will start the season on the disabled list. Lincoln might have to start off there, and Ascanio is a candidate, although he’s also a candidate to be removed from the 40-man roster, to create space for Veras. Joe Beimel is technically still in camp, although he will also start off the season injured. He doesn’t go on the disabled list, since he’s not on the 40-man roster.
The 25-man roster page is updated with the final roster out of Spring Training.
