The Bradenton Marauders have made several transactions prior to today’s game:
-Brett Lorin has been promoted from extended Spring Training, and will start in today’s game.
-Joe Beimel has been promoted from Bradenton to Indianapolis, where he will continue his rehab work.
-Eliecer Navarro and Jeffrey Inman have been transferred to Extended Spring Training.
-Fraylin Campos and Porfirio Lopez have been promoted from Extended Spring Training to Bradenton.
I wouldn’t read much in to those last two moves. Extended Spring Training is right across town, which means Campos and Lopez were probably brought in to help out the bullpen in the short term, with Navarro and Inman both unable to pitch due to multiple inning outings recently. Navarro and Inman will be back on the roster soon.

Great news – based on the scouting reports Porfirio Lopez would seem to be the top pitching prospect at Bradenton.

I am a 80 yr old lifetime Pirate fan. I think this is a terrific site to keep with the Pirates. Keep up the good work.

For the Marauders, extended ST isn’t even across town: it’s on the same site. (McKechnie Field and Pirate City)

They are about 10 minutes away from each other.
