While he wasn’t terrible at Lynchburg, he clearly didn’t excel and the FO’s justification for his promotion seemed to be rooted in, “pitchers are scared of him at this level” type stuff. Basically, they admitted his performance was undeserving but it was based more on talent/pedigree. I think that is comparable to just skipping high-A altogether.
