As expected, the Pittsburgh Pirates have placed Ryan Doumit and Steve Pearce on the 15-day disabled list, and have purchased the contracts of Josh Harrison and Dusty Brown. There was already an open spot on the 40-man roster, and to create an additional spot, the Pirates transferred Ross Ohlendorf to the 60-day disabled list. Ohlendorf has been on the disabled list since April 9th, and the move isn't going to set him back, since he's not expected to return until late-June at the earliest.
