INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (AAA)

Lincoln allowed one run in six innings.

Starting Pitcher: Brad Lincoln (6.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 0 HR)

Top Hitter: Alex Presley (3-for-5, SB, 2 R, RBI)

Notes: Brad Lincoln (2-3, 5.57) had his best start of the year, allowing just one run on six hits in six innings, with two walks allowed and seven strikeouts.  Lincoln threw 95 pitches, 62 for strikes.  Cesar Valdez (3.57) followed that up with two perfect innings.  Justin Thomas (3.60) allowed a run in an inning of work to close out the game.

Alex Presley (.377) continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-5 with his eighth stolen base of the year, two runs, and an RBI.  Andrew Lambo (.206) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.  Matt Hague (.277) went 1-for-4 with two runs scored.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Marte went 3-for-5.

Top Hitter: Starling Marte (3-for-5, 2B, SB)

Notes: Altoona avoided the sweep today, beating Richmond 7-2.  Jared Hughes (1-1, 4.35) pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, with a walk and two strikeouts.  Michael Dubee (4.08) followed Hughes with two shutout innings, allowing two hits.

Starling Marte (.315) and Jordy Mercer (.229) each had three hit days, with each going 3-for-5 with a double.  Marte also stole his eighth base of the season.  Miles Durham (.189) went 2-for-4 with two doubles. Brad Chalk (.242) went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.  Quincy Latimore (.220) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

McPherson struck out eight in seven innings.

Top Hitter: Jarek Cunningham (2-for-4, 3B, RBI)

Notes: Kyle McPherson (2-1, 2.74) had another dominating start, allowing two runs on four hits in seven innings, with no walks and eight strikeouts.  On the season, McPherson has a 2.74 ERA in 42.2 innings, with an amazing 38:1 K/BB ratio.  Diego Moreno (3.75) pitched a shutout inning, allowing a walk and a hit, and striking out two.  Ryan Beckman (1.17) pitched a shutout inning, allowing a walk and striking out one.

Jarek Cunningham (.291) continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs, and an RBI.  Aaron Baker (.317) went 1-for-3 with a homer, his fourth of the year.  Robbie Grossman (.252) went 1-for-4 with a double and two runs.

WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

Taillon got his first professional win today.

Top Hitter: Matt Curry (2-for-3, 2B, HR, 5 RBI, BB, SB)

Notes: Jameson Taillon (1-0, 1.64) got his first professional win, pitching five innings, and allowing one run on three hits, with no walks and eleven strikeouts.  In 11 innings this year, Taillon has an 11:2 K/BB ratio, with his two walks coming in game one, and his 11 strikeouts coming in the last two games.  Trent Stevenson (5.28) allowed two runs on five hits in two innings.  Casey Sadler (4.66) allowed three runs on seven hits in two innings.

Matt Curry (.389) went 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBIs, plus his fifth stolen base of the year.  Kawika Emsley-Pai (.412) went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs.  Rogelios Noris (.218) went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.  Drew Maggi (.171) and Andy Vasquez (.292) also had multiple hits.
