Lincoln will make his 2011 debut tonight.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have called up starting pitcher Brad Lincoln for game two of tonight’s double header, and to make room on the 25-man roster they have optioned right hander Tim Wood to AAA Indianapolis. The move was expected, as the Pirates needed a spot starter for game two of tonight’s double header.
Lincoln has a 4.14 ERA in 82.2 innings this year at the AAA level. He got off to a bad start, with a 7.17 ERA in his first four games this year, but has since put up a 3.08 ERA in 61.1 innings, along with a 53:13 K/BB ratio.
