Chase d’Arnaud to the DL, Chris Leroux Recalled

Leroux has been recalled to the majors.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed shortstop Chase d’Arnaud on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured little finger, and have recalled right handed pitcher Chris Leroux.  Leroux was recently optioned to AAA, and was eligible for an early recall with the Pirates placing a player on the disabled list.  The addition of a bullpen arm was expected, after the Pirates went 19 innings last night against the Atlanta Braves, with a lot of their relievers going multiple innings.  Leroux allowed a run on a walk and a hit in three innings since being demoted to AAA, with four strikeouts.

The 25-man roster and the 40-man roster have been updated with the moves.
