-The Pirates traded catcher Miguel Perez to the Washington Nationals, according to Adam Kilgore. They had acquired Perez from the Nationals early in the year when they were experiencing a lack of upper level catching options. Now that Jason Jaramillo is healthy, and Eric Fryer is back in AAA, there is no need for Perez.
-Robbie Kilcrease has been promoted from the GCL to State College. The left hander was an undrafted free agent this year, and put up a 3.75 ERA in 24 innings in the GCL, with a 6.8 K/9 and a 2.6 BB/9. State College is a more appropriate assignment for him, as he came from the college ranks and is 22 years old....
