Hanson has been promoted to State College.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have promoted right handed pitcher Cesar Lopez and infielder Alen Hanson to the State College Spikes from the GCL Pirates. Earlier today we heard that Lopez and Hanson were two of eight players who have joined State College from the GCL level. The other six players, including 2011 second round pick Josh Bell, are only with the team working out and taking in the pro experience.
