After checking Pirates Prospects Guide I realized I was wrong thinking he was a college guy. He is doing vey well it seems. Since he was said to have control problems and has put up such sterling numbers you’d think that was in the past. Maybe they’re working on building him up to start.

Maggi has been impressive with the bat since earlier in the season. Not a reply to you but no need to post just for a comment about Maggi.

Heard your report on the Power Pre Game show tonight. Very good stuff and a great job you do keeping us all informed about the Pirates Prospects. My question is this…..When will people inside and outside the organization take Brooks Pounders seriously? Even though he got the loss tonight, he has had a great year. Can’t believe they didn’t give this kid some starts. All you hear about is conditioning, but isn’t he on the same program everyone else is? Maybe he is just a big kid? Pretty athletic as well. Coach Gary Robinson said in a recent newspaper article here in So. CA. that he is a very hard worker…….Some numbers for you……Leads the organization in K/9 at 9.84….. BB/9 are at 1.97….K/BB Ratio 5 to 1…….Compare those numbers to anyone in the Pirates Organization and it is impressive. Any player that strikes out 10 and walks 2 seems like a pretty good prospect to me. Will he finally get some respect in the off season as a top 20 prospect?
