The Mesa Solar Sox lost 4-3 to Salt River today, giving up the losing run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Robbie Grossman extended his hitting streak to four games, going 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI. Jarek Cunningham got his first hit of the AFL season, hitting a two run homer in the second inning for his only hit of the day. The homer gave Mesa a 2-0 lead, which they held until the fourth inning. Grossman and Cunningham were the only two Pirates prospects to play today.
