Winter Leagues 10/18 – Hits For Hague

Pirates' players and friends in action in the Winter Leagues on Tuesday:


Tigres de Aragua  2,  Bravos de Margarita  1

Former Pirate LF Lastings Milledge singled and scored in Aragua's 2-run 6th inning.  He also singled and stole second base in the 4th.  Los Tigres' outfield was all former Pirates' farmhands  --  CF Jonel Pacheco singled in 3 trips to the plate, and RF Jorge Cortes went 0-for-3.



Toros del Este  9,  Tigres del Licey  4

3B Matt Hague singled and doubled, scored once, and drove in a run for Los Toros, who posted a total of 13 hits.  Los Toros scored 2 runs in each of the 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 9th innings, plus one more in the 4th.  Hague pushed in one of the runs in the 7th with an infield single to third base and a m...
