The Mesa Solar Sox returned to action today after being rained out yesterday. Mesa lost 13-3 to Peoria. Robbie Grossman started in right field and hit leadoff. Grossman went 2-for-4 with a strikeout. He's now got a .375/.472/.625 line in 104 at-bats. Jarek Cunningham also started, playing second base. Cunningham went 1-for-4.
Jeff Inman pitched a perfect inning in relief. Inman threw nine pitches, with five going for strikes. Pitch F/X data was available for the second time this season in one of Inman's appearances. Last time around he averaged 94.5 MPH with his fastball, touching 96. This time he was in the 91-93 MPH range, averaging 92.1 MPH. All nine pitches were fastballs....
