My son and I have known Tony since he was playing Cape Cod baseball. I’ve been really impressed with his poise and maturity and dedication to baseball all the way through. He is a great role model for my son.
Whatever happened, we still admire him and know that he will pull through and be the player and man we respect and admire.

Some drunk guy that I never seen or talked to in my life and never seen afterwards sucker punched me and knocked me out in a bar one night years ago.

Some one who wasn’t there might say that I got knocked out in a bar fight but if you ask me it wasn’t a fight.

Unless you saw what happened don’t assume Sanchez started the fight or had a chance to walk away from it. It may have been some guy who was jealous of that young guy who got two and a half mil to play baseball.

I read somewhere that Sanchez had added about 10 lbs of muscle this off-season, which doesn’t jive with the broken jaw story

Yeah, this was definitely covered up for awhile. Hopefully it is just immaturity and not a sign of a major character flaw. Throw him in the bin with Andrew Lambo of guys that are in the dog house. You definitely have to wonder about weight loss and now with a twice broken jaw….he is a catcher and gets hit in the face with foul balls for a living. For years I had “Glass-Dou” to kick around…now I have “Glass-Tone”

I don’t care HOW serious it was, he had to have lost some weight along the way on a liquid diet. I bruised my jaw once, and it was a week before I could eat oatmeal.

Sorry……….not buying it.
