i totally agree with your comment right there. you are spot on. having an eye injury has absolutely nothing to with the primary body parts used in pitching....in burnett's case his right arm, core, and legs. so he can still definitely pitch when the orbital bone is healing and still get his work in, not like hes going to sit around and do nothing

He probably will be limited to throwing simulated games. Will still get throwing in while healing takes place. Also, does not play a collision sport, so the time off will be less. I would think that he is back in game action in 2 weeks.

theres approximately 5 weeks until Opening Day so everyone should just please calm down and stop worrying about everything! alot of people are comparing James Harrison's orbital bone fracture and saying he was only out for 4 weeks. for all we know, the fracture could just be so minor enough that they need to do surgery on it and he wont be that long to recover. i highly doubt he misses enough time to be out for TWO MONTHS and miss the entire opening series against the Phillies just from a batting practice bunted ball coming off his eye. that would just be outrageous to be out that long for something like that. and even if he does stay out for 2 months, its not THAT BIG OF A DEAL for what people are already panning it out to be. april 4th is a day off, 5th is season opener, 6th is day off, games on 7th and 8th, day of on 9th before going to LA for game on the 10th. so thats potentially 41 DAYS he could miss and only potentially miss ONE FREAKING START if it all boiled down to that situation
