Harrison, Cabrera Injury Updates

Published:

  • Infielder Josh Harrison, who took a pitch off his left elbow in Saturday’s 7-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, was scratched for precaution as an extra for the Pirates Game roster today.

It’s a bruise,“ General Manager Neal Huntington said. “We’re just going to give him the day, and see how he’s doing tomorrow. Try to get the bruising out of there. He took a pretty good shot, but he should be fine. We’ll see how he feels tomorrow when he comes in.”

As of now, Harrison is currently in the lineup for Monday’s 7:05 game against the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota.

  • Right-hander Daniel Cabrera is currently sidelined with right forearm tightness. Cabrera is listed as day to day, and will throw catch play on Monday.
“We’re still getting him back through soreness to tightness,” Huntington said.
