Many ballparks are off. Once the season starts, trust the pitch FX on mlb.com. That’s your best best for accurate readings. 

]]> By: Ian Rothermund http://www.piratesprospects.com/2012/03/moskos-working-on-consistency-and-improved-breaking-ball.html#comment-13733 Ian Rothermund Thu, 29 Mar 2012 01:42:00 +0000 http://www.piratesprospects.com/?p=27590#comment-13733 One of the games I saw him throw on TV had the readings, and he was in the low 90′s.  I’d comfortably say he was 89-92, and mostly 90-92.  His two-seamer seems to have really nice movement, and the breaking ball he was throwing seems like a great upgrade over the slider he was throwing last year.  I’m not sure if it’s a curveball or still a slider, but there’s a lot more movement, and downward movement at that.

I think there’s a good chance we could see him in Pittsburgh for a good bit of time this year if the possibility is presented. He’s still no Matt Weiters, but we may get some value out of him yet.
