If someone gets injured, McLouth would step in. If two got injured you could use Jones and recall Hernandez or Boggs, Marte even if needed from Triple-A. Navarro, if he makes the club can also play in the outfield. So could Hague. There’s plenty of options.

With the ever fragile Tabata assured of a starting position and only McClouth as a backup can anyone else (other than Jones) fill in? And there is no sub SS, although a couple of guys could finish a game in a pinch. But, all in all this bench shapes up as the best in years.
