Mark Johnson hit one of the most famous HR’s in bucco history… nice memory that! However I think HaGue may turn out to be a more complete player, and on a side note I really enjoyed watching him in the AAA All-star game… rather listening to him because they had him mic’d up. He was the star of the show really, had the announcers laughing. A guy with that kind of conversation ability was born to be a MLB 1b.

That won’t happen initially, and frankly I hope it doesn’t happen at all. I hope that Hauge/Jones platoon is everything they wanted Casey/Jones to be… I just don’t have faith in Pedro YET, and I think for now McGehee will end up being the primary 3b.
Congrats Matt Hauge you truly earned it the hard way, in spite of most who seemingly didn’t believe – although I think everyone would agree that the Pirates are thrilled to see him compete and deliver in the way that he did this spring.

I want Hague starting too. Not saying he will be anything more than Mark Johnson but I do know that Garrett Jones is horrendous in the field. Lets see what Hague has and use Jones off the bench.

I’m hoping Hague is the main firstbaseman. Let Jones be the part time 1b, Rf, PH.

Well, I guess that worked itself out for now. Funny how that tends to happen. I suspect someone will come down with a random broken finger nail the day before Charlie Morton is scheduled to start if nobody really gets hurt. I think Donnie Veal set the record for most “injuries” in a season a few years ago.

seriously? fans will “accept” pedro being on the roster with hague making it??? how can hague continue doing what he did in spring when hes not going to be playing much unless Pedro completely forgets the address of PNC Park???
