Minor League Schedule: 5/19/12

Justin Wilson gets the start tonight, just five days after leaving his last start early. He threw on the side three days ago and reported no problems. The four affiliates have a combined record of 70-92. Indianapolis was just shutout in the entire four game series against Lehigh Valley, although their pitchers allowed just nine runs and the team is still in first place in their division. Probable starter: Justin Wilson (3-3 3.14)

Justin Wilson will make his ninth start of the season tonight. He left his last start on 5/14 early with a groin strain. He pitched three shutout innings before being pulled. In his prior start, Justin threw six shutout innings and two starts earlier, he threw 7.1 innings of no-hit ball. He is the team leader with 41 strikeouts and batters are hitting just .184 against him in 43 innings. After allowing a home run in each of his first three starts, Justin has not allowed a home run since.

Double-A: Altoona (17-22) VS Erie (20-19) 6:30pm
Probable starter: Shairon Martis (1-0 2.25)

Shairon Martis will make his second start of the season tonight. In his first start on 5/5, he threw five shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks. He began the year at Indianapolis, where he made four appearances in which he allowed eight runs on eight hits and four walks in 8.1 innings. With Altoona, batters are hitting .140 against him, with left-handers hitting just .100(2-20) with five strikeouts.

High-A: Bradenton (18-23) VS Dunedin (27-14) 6:30pm
Probable starter: Tyler Waldron (3-2 4.91)

Tyler Waldron will make his seventh start of the season tonight. He also made two relief appearances earlier in the year. Tyler has pitched a total of 36.2 innings this year, allowing 48 hits, eight walks and he has struck out 24 batters. In his last start on 5/14, he allowed four runs on ten hits in five innings. Waldron has a 5.40 ERA in 21.2 innings at home this year.

Low-A: West Virginia (13-28) @ Greenville (20-20) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Nick Kingham (1-2 6.75)

Nick Kingham will make his ninth start of the season tonight. He has pitched just 28 innings this year, allowing 38 hits, 26 runs, ten walks and he has struck out twenty-six. His last start was his best of the season. Nick went five innings for the third time this year, allowing just two runs, with no walks and a season high of six strikeouts. Batters are hitting .328 against him this year, left-handers are batting .340, while righties are hitting .318 with five homers.
