Oh wait, that’s good? I was just assuming from all the doom crying up until 3 weeks ago that it was a bad thing. He’s basically been doing the same thing all year, consistently as many K’s as innings pitched and consistently fewer hits than innings pitched; especially now that he’s opened up his repertoire. He may battle with getting the ball down his entire career but when you have to worry about 6 distinct pitches and a fastball that flirts with triple digits, it’s less of a concern.

That’s why when you see Taillon having issues locating his fastball he’s more likely to run into problems; less on the heater, and fewer pitches to guess from.
