Ever since the draft ended, we’ve been hearing about players who have been signing quickly. The signings have come at a much quicker pace than previous years, which has made for a busy week.
From everything I’ve heard, today seems like the magic day for the draft deals to become official. Today could be the signing day. Most of the players who have reportedly agreed to deals were heading down to Bradenton this weekend to take their physicals and finalize their deals on Monday. And we only know about six of those players right now. My guess is that we’ll hear about a few more when the official announcement comes out.
That announcement might come today, but that’s no guarantee. There’s also no rush to make the signings official, since most of these players will be playing in short-season leagues, which start a week from today. As usual, if I hear anything, I’ll keep you updated. Follow the Draft Pick Signing Tracker for all of the signings.
