I think its more about giving Lincoln an opportunity to prove he can start, rather than not giving Rudy or Jeff the promotion. If brad struggles again sun, i could see one of them getting the call while Jeff is rehabing.

The Tampa Bay Rays just got swept
and outscored 29-9. It happens. Cleveland (our next opp) just got swept.
One of us is gonna win the series….might as well be us.

I just don’t get why Owens is not starting against Cleveland this weekend. CLE is currently starting 6 LH, 2 SH, and 1 RH most nights… if there was ever a good situation for Owens to have the best chance of success in his 1st ML start, it is this weekend… why do the Pirates refuse to give him the opportunity?
