In G Cole’s rough first inn….two outs, high chopper to 3rd over his head. Next ball, we thought Holt should’ve fielded. Then, another chopper that Holt, if he had ANY kind of arm, would’ve thrown him out. After that, the line drives started.

Holt is NOT a SS! He’s a hitter playing SS.

I was at Metro Bank park with some friends. Needless to say, we were depressed after the first inn.

Hopefully, it is nothing serious. We couldn’t tell if he was hit on the neck or jaw.

Dejan was right, time to at least think about Marte. I guess we have to wait and see what happens in terms of trades but I’d much rather see Marte playing than what we are offering. He is clearly talented enough and certainly not too young.

What seems like a positive to take out of the Cole situation is that he was well enough to finish out the inning. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the fallout from that will be. Also, even with the runs, 3 infield hits in a row? How is that even possible? So in that sense, he wasn’t being hit around either….just some real bad luck.

Strange about Taillon too. I wonder if there really was any story behind that.
