When I was 23, I couldn’t handle myself, let alone a pitching staff. VERY impressed. I hope the bat comes around…..easy guy to root for!

Yes, but let’s hope they drafted a future major league player as well. Strong defensive catchers who handle pitchers well is a commodity that has some value. Even if he is never more than a backup.

Interesting…I’m curious to see how aggressive they are in moving him if he just keeps putting up numbers that are good enough. However, I definitely see this as a guy that will determine his own destiny.

Liked this kid when he was drafted because of his ability defensively and his background. Too bad he’s already 23.

His upside would be a major league backup, although those types of players are common in the lower levels. He could improve his chances by separating himself from the pack, and the best way to do that would be hitting well in the lower levels.
