It looks like Cutch has two chances to be in the starting lineup. They have to have a DH, which LaRussa will select, and starter Matt Kemp is injured and unlikely to play. Andrew is currently rated as the number one outfielder in baseball by ESPN’s Player ranking.
It would look ridiculous for LaRussa to pick any other outfielder besides McCutchen to replace Kemp in the starting lineup.
