Quentin has spent most of his carer being injured and only does well every 3rd year or so. He’s playing in his home town right now so he’s happy. I don’t see Quentin bringing a lot of help to any contender.

I still see Shane Victorino as being the best option available for helping a contender.
I wouldn’t give up too much for him though, since he probably wouldn’t stick around after the season.
I like the idea of calling up Marte and picking up Victorino as cheaply as possible. I believe those would be the two best hitters to add to the Pirates outfield, one in each corner. Don’t forget that Victorino is also a three-time gold glover. He’s a winner, plain and simple. He knows how to play for a team in contention, and he won’t make youthful mistakes.
