It never crossed my mind, at least. Headley can play outfield well and probably could play other positions adequately. Anyone the Pirates have looked at would almost certainly take a corner spot in the outfield, where their major holes have been.

Also, Headley can play OF. Heck if we are trotting Garrett Jones, Drew Sutton, and Josh Harrison out there, why not Headley?
