Garcia will be returning from the disabled list and making his first start since June 5th when he went down with a minor shoulder injury. He throws his fastball in the upper 80s, averaging 88.3 MPH this year. He also uses a cutter about 25% of the time, averaging 85.4 MPH. He throws a changeup as his third pitch, averaging 81.6 MPH, and a curve about 10% of the time, averaging 74.2 MPH. In his career against the Pirates, Garcia has a 1.08 ERA in 16.2 innings over four appearances, with two starts. He has a 14:6 K/BB ratio in that time.
