That’s wrong. You have to actually be on the 25-man roster, or one of the lists (disabled, bereavement, etc), by August 31st to qualify.

Since McPherson and Presley were with the team earlier in the year they were eligible for the post season. Might want to get your facts straight before posting stuff like this Kristy, it might make you look unprofessional.

Clement was outrighted because he doesn’t have any options remaining. He was outrighted off the 40-man. d’Arnaud still has options so he can be sent to the minors and remain on 40-man.

Likely so they can rejoin the club on Monday in Pittsburgh. Bradenton’s season ends on Sunday. If they were sent to Triple-A, they would have to wait 10 days before coming back.
