Kristy, you mentioned J-Mac possibly missing an opportunity to retaliate for Cutch getting hit. We were warned in the first inning so that chance was already taken away right off the bat by the umpire. Who was garbage. Enough of these veteran umps still using wrong strikezones. If you can’t call the outside corner, they can get a computer to do it. Umps ruin the game. I am all for the human element but a human should be able to tell when a ball is 4-6 inches outside or inside.

I thought JMac looked good in the innings they scored, too. It is not like they hit the ball hard. How many infield hits were there? Ludwick had the only hard hit ball.

Barajas will catch Burnett, count on it. I liked seeing Presley back in there, and he responded with his first 2 hit game in I don’t know how long. Should be a good one today.

Coincidence that the Pirates twin Mendoza line threatening regulars gathered pine time last night while their replacements both homered? Do the right thing Hurdle and bench Barajas till Fort’s hot streak wears off.
